The New Orleans Social Club Channels John Fogerty
One day after Cyril Neville of the legendary Neville Brothers recorded the stirring "This Is My Country" on The New Orleans Social Club's (NOSC) forthcoming album, "Sing Me Back Home" (due April 4 on Burgundy Records/Sony BMG Strategic Marketing Group/Honey Darling Records), his nephew Ivan Neville picked up on the protest spirit and contributed a powerful version of John Fogerty's timeless anti-war anthem, "Fortunate Son."
Sing Me Back Home
Six weeks after Hurricane Katrina, a parade of Crescent City legends united to celebrate the indomitable spirit and culture of their native city. Scattered around the country, they gathered in Austin as a loose-knit collective dubbed THE NEW ORLEANS SOCIAL CLUB. Over the course of seven magical days and nights, they recorded SING ME BACK HOME, which will be released April 4 on Burgundy Records/Sony BMG Strategic Marketing Group/Honey Darling Records.
