America
This fall, America - the Grammy Award winning classic rock group with such smash hits as "A Horse With No Name," "Ventura Highway," and "Tin Man" - will be releasing, 'Here and Now,' an exciting 2-CD set on Burgundy Records. Disc one is a live version of their multi-platinum greatest hits album, 'History.' Disc two is currently being produced by Grammy nominated Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne) and James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins). The set will be a mix of new America songs as well as collaborations with today's most important independent rock and alternative artists, including (artists to be confirmed).

America will rediscover America this fall
America, the band that in 1972 brought you A Horse with No Name, returns in the fall, offering an album with name producers.
Two musicians with impeccably hip credentials — Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne and James Iha, late of Smashing Pumpkins — are teaming with two original members of the '70s pop band, Dewey Bunnell and Gerry Beckley, for a set of new originals and songs by contemporary songwriters, including the producers. A second CD will comprise a set of America's hits, recorded live recently at XM Satellite Radio.
Schlesinger said in a statement, "They write timeless songs and they are phenomenal singers and musicians, and we are having a blast in the studio. Plus we get to bug them for (America and Beatles producer) George Martin stories in between takes."
